Admin Backend - Quick Guide

1. Login to admin panel at http://en.goutie.com/main/ and you can see the admin panel, it shows you the total users, total posts, total tag & number of online visitor of your website.

System Setting – Site setting

Click 'System setting', you need to decide your website settings first.

(1) Site URL - your website domain;

(2) Site title - your website title;

(3) Site name - your website name;

(4) Admin Mail - admin email address of your website;

(5) Sing up mode - membership sign up setting of your website:

        *'stop sign up' means your website does not accept new members;

           *'free sign up' means new members can sign up anytime without verify their email address;

           *'mail activate' means new members have to verify their email address after sign up;

           *'admin approval' means all news members have to be approved by admin before they can login to your website.

#In the (front-end) user help file we provided, we use 'Free Sign up' as example. Please change your help file if your member sign up mode is not 'Free Sign up'.

(6) Time Zone – time zone of your website;

(7) Post approve – whether your website members need to input verify code every time after they post a message or not;

(8) Rewrite mode – whether you allow all members to rewrite their post messages or not;

 

 

 

(9) Google Analytics Setting – please copy & paste your Google Analytics tracking code, so that you can check your website traffic in your Google Analytics account.

 

(10) Mybloglog Setting – In order to make your website be more community style, you may copy & paste MyBlogLog's javascript into your website.

 

(11) Setting – decide which type of advertisers will you use.

        *'No ADS in whole site' means you do not allow showing any ads in this site;

           *'Adsense' means you allow showing Adsense ads in your site;

           *'Custom Advertiser Ads' means you want to show ads (except Adsense ads) in your site.

#In the (front-end) user help file we provided, we use 'No ADS in whole site' as example. Please change your help file if your advertiser setting is not 'No ADS in whole site'.

(12) Share Revenue – If you choose 'Adsense' in advertiser setting, then you need to decide whether you will share ads revenue with your members or not.

        *'Share' means members can show Adsense ads in post page, and that revenue (if any) goes to their accounts;

        *'Don't Share' means you do not allow members showing any Adsense ads in this site.

 

 

System Setting – Adsense Setting

If you choose Adsense as your website advertiser; then, please copy & paste your Adsense ID & Adsense Channel here.

 

 

System Setting – Custom Advertiser Ads Setting

You may use other advertisers.  There are 3 ads code sizes for you to choose, please copy & paste your advertiser ads code here.

 

 

System Setting – Verify Code

(1) Post page – do your members have to input verification code every time after they post a message?

(2) reply – do your members have to input verification code every time after they post a reply?

 

 

System Setting – Post Setting

(1) Show post images – allow all images of members' posts shown in your website automatically or not; if you choose 'No', then, visitors have to click a textlink in order to view post images.

(2) Change Template setting – please choose a post template for admin account;

After you completed all settings, please click 'Change' and save these settings .

(3) Make default – this function make the system return to default setting.

 


Mail Setting

(1) Using SMTP setting – decide whether you will use SMTP setting or not;

(2) SMTP host - input the SMTP host of your mail server;

(3) Board email – input your admin email address;

(4) SMTP Password – input your SMTP password;

(5) Email From – this will be shown as 'Sender' when your members received your email;

After complete all settings, please click 'Change' to save your setting.

 

(6) test mail – you may test your mailing system by typing an email address and click 'send'.

Then, that email box will receive an email from you, like this:-

 

 

Edit Announcement

Please type an announcement for your website members here.

 

 

User Management - List

This page lists all your website users with their usernames, register time & member status. 

You may find certain username by typing the username next to 'Search' and click 'Submit'.

 

You may click 'edit' to view & edit their profiles; and, you may click 'delete' to delete that member's profile; or, you may click 'inactivate' to inactivate that member's membership.

You may click username to check member profile, like this:

#There are 4 groups of users; Guest, Admin, User & RSS_poster.  For group 'RSS_poster', they are machine generated users for your website.

# If you 'Inactivate' a user, then, that user cannot login to your website anymore.

 

 

User Management – Add User

As a website admin, you may click 'ADD' to add users to your website anytime.

(1) UserName – member username;

(2) Password – member login password;

(3) User Group – which group he/she will be added;

(4) email – member email address;

(5) Time Zone – member time zone;

(6) Register Time – when did he/she register as member.

 

 

Tag Management

It lists all tags of your website posts.

You may find a certain keyword by typing keyword next to 'Search' and click 'Sebmit'.

# If you 'Inactivate' a tag; then, members in your website cannot see that tag in your website homepage anymore.

 

 

Post Management

This lists all posts in your website.

You may search post title, inactive or delete the posts.
* 'inactivate' a post means the post will remain in admin database, and only the member who post it will able to read it while all website visitors will not see that post anymore.

 

 

 

Mass Mail

As a website admin, you may use this panel to send mass email to different groups of your website users.

(1) Title – Please write your email tile;

(2) User Group – select which group of users you would like to send mass email;

(3) content – write email content;

(4) program codes – you may use the default program codes to write a personalized-style mass emails.

 

 

Clean Cache

You may use admin account to clean cache for your website; that will make your website update immediate, and it will free some space in your server/hosting J

 

 

Get RSS link

You may use admin account to generate posts for your website.

(1) keyword – input a keyword or a phrase;

(2) Result number – decide how many links you would like to get every time;

(3) Language – decide which language of links you would like to get every time;

(4) at least words – how many words include in every post.

 

E.g. You input keyword 'dog training'  and click 'submit'.  Look! There are 2 results found, and the RSS links added into your RSS list already.

 

 

RSS list Management

You may find all RSS links in your website in this panel; include

You may ADD RSS link and manage your RSS link in this panel; there are some functions you can do in each row:
Edit: edit the RSS link and using keyword ;
Activate/Inactivate: activate means it will run in Cron job; inactivate means it will not run in Cron job;
Delete : delete that RSS link ;
View : this function is using to preview the RSS link post , and you can click & create posts after preview;

Below RSS links posts preview, there are some filtering settings you can use:
At lease words: get the post where more than certain words you set;
Have Keyword: get the post where the RSS link you give the keyword before;
Post From: if you tick it, your website posts will show the post source below content;
After you input the filter data, you can click ‘Submit’ to preview again.
And there is user list, you can choose some specific usernames to make the post; if you haven’t choose any username; system will post the links using 'RSS_Poster' group users by random.
After you click “Post”, posts of these RSS links will be posted on your website;
You may click ‘Delete’ to delete these RSS links.

 

 

RSS corn job setting

This is use to set some variables for the RSS link Post Cron job;
Number of posts in each time: you may set how many RSS links posts will be posted each time when you run Cron job.
After you set all variables, you can copy the Cron job file path to your server’s Cpanel Cron job setting, like this:-

 

 

Generate User

You can click this button & add machine-generated users, these users will in group 'RSS_posters'.

This system provides 300 machine-generated usernames, you may generate maximum 100 usernames each time when you click this button.
